THE TAM O’SHANTER SHOW

Burns the Bard. Burns the National Poet. Whose masterpiece was, is, and always will be ‘Tam O’ Shanter’ – using comic storytelling Burns brings to life his fascination for Scottish folk tales. And for the supernatural. In ‘Tam O Shanter and the Englishman’ there will be performances of ‘Tam O’Shanter’, ‘Death and Dr Hornbook’, ‘Address to a Deil’, and of the traditional tale ‘The Haunted Ships’.

All by the Englishman. In something approaching a Scottish accent. In Scots and English. Possibly in Scottish dress. Expect Death, Witches, Kelpies, Elves and The Devil. Also an eerie soundscape inspired by The Ploughman’s songs.
